302 crore business in housing fair in five days

Apartments, plots and commercial spaces worth Tk 302 crores were sold and booked during the five-day Rehab Housing Fair. This includes apartments worth Tk 168 crores, plots of Tk 80 crores, commercial spaces worth Tk 53 crores and 73 lakhs. Apart from this, about 50 crore construction materials have been sold and booked. 16 thousand 132 buyers-visitors came to the fair till 1 pm today.

However, compared to the last time, both sales and bookings and the presence of buyers and visitors have decreased in this year’s rehab fair. In 2021, flats, plots and commercial spaces worth Tk 397 crore 38 lakh were sold and booked at Rehab Mela. This included booking and sale of apartments worth Tk 198 crore, plots of Tk 125 crore and commercial space worth Tk 7438 crore. 19 thousand 237 buyers-visitors came to the service fair.

Rehab leaders held a press conference after the fair at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar of the capital today at 2 pm. The vice president of the organization. Sohail Rana, giving information on the sale and booking of apartments, plots and commercial spaces in the five-day residential fair, said, “Though it ended a few hours before the scheduled time, the purpose of the fair was successful.”

The five-day rehab fair was inaugurated last Wednesday. It had 180 stalls of 126 companies involved in the production and sale of construction materials for housing, banks and financial institutions and buildings. Among them there were 92 housing institutions.

Tomorrow, Monday, the head of government will participate in an event organized at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center. Because of his safety, the organizers ended the fair at 2 pm instead of 9 pm.

Anas Uddin and Shahriar Hossain, two colleagues working in private institutions, were seen visiting various housing institutions at the fair yesterday afternoon. During the conversation, they said that some of their colleagues want to buy land around the capital. During the conversation, Anas Uddin told Prothom Alo, “Our goal is to buy 20 kathas of land. For this, I am looking at the land of various institutions. I took bids from a few companies. Now I will sit and decide by myself.

Amin Mohammad Lands Development Limited has brought four land projects to the fair. Of this, they have about 2,500 bighas of land in their project in Green Model Town near Motijheel. The area of Ashulia Model Town is more, about 3 thousand 300 bighas. Uttara View project has about 379 bighas of land. And Amin Mohammad Town is built on about 300 bighas of land.

The company claims that 80 percent of the land in two of these projects has been handed over to customers. The rest of the land is being sold every day. These lands are also being displayed for sale in the fair.
