BBG is working with the government to improve the business environment

The British Business Group (BBG) is working with the government to improve the country’s business environment. The organization said this in an event titled ‘Overcoming Least Developed Countries (LDC) Graduation Challenge of Bangladesh’. The event discussed plans for Bangladesh’s potential challenges in its transition from Least Developed Country (LDC) or the next stages of transition to LDC.

This information was informed in a press release of BBG. The program was jointly moderated by Robert Chatterton Dickson, British High Commissioner to Bangladesh and Mahbub ur Rahman, Chairman of BBG and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of HSBC Bangladesh. Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister and Chairperson of the National Committee on Graduation Ahmad Kaykaus gave a speech.

At the event, British High Commissioner Robert Chatterton Dickson said, ‘I welcome BBG’s good relationship with the Bangladesh government to improve the business environment. It is important to create a better business environment to encourage British companies to export and invest more in Bangladesh.

Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary Ahmad Kaykaus said, “Despite many challenges, Bangladesh sees LDC graduation as a golden opportunity. The government has already found ways to deal with potential challenges.

Mahbub ur Rahman, CEO of HSBC Bangladesh, said that the relationship between the two countries is not limited to trade, but also extends to many other areas, including development cooperation, immigration and education. British businesses were the first to realize the immense potential of Bangladesh and believe in its future opportunities.
