He said that those who want to harm Islam and the country, including BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami, should be careful.

The information minister said these things at the discussion meeting of the United Islami Party on the occasion of the 47th martyrdom anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day at Mahanagar Natyamanch in the capital’s Gulistan on Saturday afternoon.

Hashan Mahmud said, ‘After liberating the country through a long liberation struggle and liberation war, Bangabandhu was killed when he was taking the country forward. Referring to the fact that all Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists and Christians of the country participated shoulder to shoulder in the war of liberation, the joint general secretary of Awami League said, “those who did not want independence killed millions of innocent Muslims of the country by talking about Islam.” Out of 30 lakh martyrs in the war of liberation, 29 lakh or more people are Muslims.

Recalling that Bangabandhu’s ancestors came to this country from Baghdad to preach religion, the minister said, “Father of the Nation Bangabandhu established the Islamic Foundation.” Became a member of the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) and demanded that Bangladesh recognize Pakistan. And his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina continues to make unprecedented contributions to Islam in the country.

Establishment of about one lakh mosque-based schools in the country; Allowance of 5 thousand 200 taka per month to the teachers of each Maktab; The information minister said that Sheikh Hasina has started the 20 thousand Darul Arkam Ibtedayi madrasa with a monthly allowance of 12 thousand rupees on her own initiative.

This Awami League leader said, ‘That’s why BNP-Jamaat – who only talk sweet words when the election comes, but do nothing for Islam, should be vocal against their propaganda and those who want to harm Islam and the country in the guise of Islam. Be careful.
