Butter Shur has increased the sale of shoes since the school opened
The shoe manufacturers have benefited from the opening of educational institutions in the country. The government reopened all educational institutions in phases from last February following the ban on corona. And it has increased the sales of shoes of shoe companies.
This information was obtained by analyzing the latest financial reports of the two largest shoe companies of the country listed on the stock exchange. The two companies have recently released their financial reports.
From February 22, the government decided to open educational institutions step by step. From then on, the sales of shoes also started increasing. It leads to sales of Apex and Bata Shur. The two companies last released their financial statements at the end of last March. It is seen that in the three months from January to March this year, Bata Shoe has sold shoes worth around Tk 215 crore. At the same time, the sales of Apex Footwear was around Tk 264 crore.
Bata Shoe Company says the opening of educational institutions has had a major positive impact on their shoe sales. As a result, the company’s shoe sales have increased by 18 percent. During January-March 2021, the sales of the company was 164 crore. As such, the company sold more shoes worth Rs 31 crore in the first three months of this year as compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the local company Apex Footwear is ahead of the multinational Bata Shura in selling shoes. The company has sold shoes worth Tk 264 crore in the first three months of this year, which is about Tk 69 crore more than Bata Shoe. However, the opening of the educational institution in February did not have much effect on the sales of the company.
Because, in the first three months of this year, sales of Apex remained the same as last year. In January-March 2021, the sales volume of Apex was 263 crore rupees. As a result, sales have increased by only Rs 1 crore in one year
