Gold at the highest price in the history of the country, 87 thousand 247 taka
The price of gold in the country’s market increased another round. This time, Bangladesh Jewelers Association has increased the amount up to 3 thousand 33 taka in one stroke. The price of good quality, i.e. 22 carat gold, will be 87 thousand 247 taka. This price is the highest in the history of the country. This new rate will be effective across the country from tomorrow Sunday.
The Jewelers’ Association announced the increase in gold prices on Saturday night in a notification. Last November 18, the association increased the gold deposit by 1 thousand 749 taka. Their demand for service was that the price of pure gold has increased in the bullion market of old Dhaka. This time too, the leaders of the jewelers’ association raised the price of gold with the same demand.
Due to the increase in price, it will cost 87 thousand 247 taka to buy a 22 carat gold jewelery with hallmark from tomorrow. Apart from this, the price of hallmarked 21 carat gold bars will be 83 thousand 281 taka, 18 carat 71 thousand 384 taka and traditional gold bars will be priced at 59 thousand 486 taka. However, the price of silver will remain unchanged.
Today, a 22 carat hallmarked gold bar was sold for Tk 84,214. Apart from this, the price of hallmarked 21 carat was 80 thousand 365 taka, 18 carat was 68 thousand 934 taka and traditional gold was 56 thousand 687 taka.
From tomorrow, the price of 22 carat gold will increase by 3 thousand 33 taka, 21 carat by 2 thousand 916 taka, 18 carat by 2 thousand 414 taka and traditional method by 2 thousand 799 taka.
Meanwhile, the price of gold in the international market has seen a downward trend for several months, but it is increasing again from November. At the beginning of February this year, the price of gold per ounce (31.1034768 grams) was about 1 thousand 800 US dollars in the world market. But when the Russia-Ukraine war broke out, prices suddenly rose. The price rose to $2,520 in the first week of March, the second highest in history. After a few months, the price started to fall. On November 3, the gold price per ounce was $1,629. Prices have been rising almost continuously since then. Today the price of gold in the world market was 1 thousand 802 US dollars.
